What Is Daxxify?
Daxxify is an FDA- approved injectable used to help temporarily smooth moderate-to-severe wrinkles and lines between the eyebrows. Daxxify is the only long-lasting treatment for frown lines that’s powered by peptides. As with other botulinum toxin injectables or dermal fillers, the active ingredient in Daxify injections is a purified protein called botulinum toxin type A, which aesthetic providers have used for more than 20 years to improve the appearance of external signs of facial aging, such as frown lines.
While all frown line filler treatments require a specific ingredient to smooth frown lines, Daxxify is the only formulation to use a new peptide as a stabilizer, and it doesn’t use any human or animal byproducts! How Does Daxxify Work?

How Long Does Daxxify Last?
As every patient is unique, the results of Daxxify injections will vary from person to person, depending on the severity of frown lines, the number of lines, any previously used treatments, treatment approach, and more. Typically, Daxxify injections last for 3-4 months, but may be shorter or longer depending on the previously mentioned factors. To maintain the effects of Daxxify, follow-up injections are necessary. In most cases, results can be noticeable as early as the day after treatment, with full effects typically developing within two weeks.
Is Daxxify Safe?
Daxxify injections are relatively safe when preformed by experienced skin care professionals, such as those at North Florida Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics. Based on two decades of research, the fficacy of Daxxify is well-known, but should only be administered by a qualified professional. Side effects of Daxxxify are rare and temporary, but may include slght bruising at the injection side, headaches, mild drooping at the eyebrows or eyelids, allergic reactions, heart problems, and eye problems. You may not be a candidate for Daxxify injections if you are allergic to Daxxify or any of its ingredients, have had a reaction to other botulinum toxin products, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a skin infection at the intended injection site.
